cone/rod dystrophy anyone?

hi i have an eye condition called cone/rod dystrophy. it is a degenerative retina disease so once my retinas fall apart completely, i wun c nothin no more... any fellow cone/rod dystrophy ppl here?

Yes, Song writer, I have that wonderful disorder. Aint it great. I began loosing my vision at the age of 9 and in the last 5 years have rapidly began loosing more, since I'm 42, that means I was at a stable, legally blind status for about 28 years. They have determined that mine is a genitic disorder. What about you? What's your story?

I don't have this disorder, but my rods and cones are messed up, they don't send the messages to my brain or something. I have LCA Lebers Congenital Amorosis.

well texasred i was born with it... it runs in my moms side of the family. i believe it goes back over 17 generations. currently, my lil sister cindy has it, i have it, but my older sis tessa got lucky. my mom cj aka WalkingFree2020 has it, but her older sister melissa got lucky. my nanna paula has it, and so does her lil sis patricia aka Hailley. patricias older son everett has it but her younger 1 billy got lucky. and lastly my great grandmother barbara has it. thats all 4 now

My roomate has cone rod distrophey.
From what she said, it's and incredibly rare disease.
She's tried too look for others with this disease with very little luck.
So, no, you're not alone.
